About Me
My name is Kat, and I’m a full time mother, a part time student, and a full blown equestrian. Currently, I have 3 kids, 36 credit hours, and 1 equine named Kodachrome.
I have had horses all of my life… but like most people, when I grew up and realized what things really cost outside in the big bad real world, I had to sadly say goodbye to horses for awhile. After ten years of (horseless) marriage, my husband surprised me with the best Valentines gift a girl could ever want. My Koda.
Koda came to me three years ago. I looked high and low for the perfect pony, and when I saw him I knew he was the one for me . I shelled out the cash for him practically there on the spot, and I’ve been spending obscene amounts of money on him every since.
Koda and I basically just have fun together. When I bought him, I knew that I had no desire to show, or get back into that realm of the horse world ever again. I spent a lot of time there in my childhood, and I feel like I have kind of been there, done that, got the t-shirt if you know what I mean. But we have learned a lot together. I have taught him things, and he has definitely taught me things! If I had to pick a discipline to belong to, it would be hunters. It’s what I did, it’s what I know – and it’s what I feel most comfortable doing!
